Head On Photo Festival is Sydney’s major innovative showcase for Australian and international photography of all genres. It is the largest event of its kind in Australia and the second largest in the world.
This year we bring back the old favourite; the two day Seminar, jam-packed full of presentations and discussion panels. Portfolio Reviews and Workshop Courses with the industry’s best, are new in 2012. There will also be many more events revealed at a later date.
Head On Portrait Prize
Total value of prizes is approximately $50,000
Head On Portrait Prize is the nation’s major innovative showcase for Australian portrait photography, reflecting a vibrant, diverse cross-section of new and traditional photographic practices. It is one of the highlights of the Festival.
About Head On Photo Festival
Head On Photo Festival, is the world’s second largest photography festival. In 2011, it featured a wide range of photography across all genres with over 150 events at 94 venues. It was a resounding success for everyone who participated: galleries and other venues, photographers, Head On partners and the viewing public.
