    • DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY REVIEW – Preview
Mar 2, 2012: “…The EOS 5D Mark III builds on the performance of the legendary EOS 5D Mark II, offering improved speed, greater resolution, enhanced processing power and extended creative options for bothstills and Full HD movies – providing unparalleled artistic freedom for the most demanding photographers.”
    • WIRED - First Look: The Canon EOS 5D Mark II
March 2, 2012 By Michael Calore  “…Canon’s previous 5D model has been central to the rise of the DSLR video scene, with indie auteurs shooting fantastic-looking HD video on their Mark IIs, so we expected this update to come with several video-specific performance bumps. The Mark III shoots 1080p video at up to 30 frames per second, but video is now processed by the DIGIC 5+ chip, which Canon says reduces image noise and moiré effects much better than the DIGIC 4 chip. There’s a new on-camera H.264 compression engine and new timecode-embedding features. The LCD monitor is now 3.2 inches (up from 3 inches) and has new touch-screen controls for silently adjusting your settings while you’re recording.”

  • GIZMODO – Comparisons with other cameras – How it stacks up
When you compare the Canon 5D Mark III to other DSLRs, its specs fall somewhere between the 1D X and the previous model, the 5D Mark II. But how does it compare to competition like the Nikon D800?
We’ve put together this handy chart that compares the Canon 5D Mark III to the 5D Mark II (since they are technically still in competition) the Canon 1D X, the Nikon D800, the Nikon D4, and the Sony Alpha A900.

  • MASHABLE  - Canon Makes Pro Photographers Drool With EOS 5D Mark III DSLR Camera
by :  ”…The full-frame CMOS sensor lets the 5D Mark III capture photos up to 22.3 megapixels — about 4 megapixels more than Canon’s top-of-the-line EOS-1D X (the 1D X has other features, like dual image processors, that let it retain its flagship status). Resolution isn’t everything, of course, and Canon says the new sensor has higher sensitivity and better noise reduction than its previous sensors, which means it should perform superbly in low light.”

  • ENGADGET - Canon announces EOS 5D Mark III
Mar 2nd 2012 By   : “…That gorgeous beast your eyes are feasting upon is the company’s new EOS 5D Mark III. That’s right folks, this isn’t a replacement for the Mark II, but rather an updated variant meant to sit between the workhorse of four years and the company’s soon to arrive EOS-1D X. At a glance, the shooter is nearly indistinguishable from its older sibling, although a closer inspection reveals a new name badge, improved weather- and dust-resistance and some slight tweaks to its top-mounted info display and buttons on the back. “
  •  GIZMODO AUSTRALIA - Video Chomping, Darkness Slaying
March 3, 2012 | Mario Aguilar:  ”…While the Mark II broke new ground, it’s outdated. The Mark III promises refinement and sharper tools: better photos and video that’s easier than ever.
This is not a coup-de-camera so much as a revolution more fully realised — a more perfect $US3500 DSLR. What you get is a revamped full-frame image sensor, and Canon’s new Digic 5+ image processor. The Mark III promises to be faster, more powerful and more versatile than the beloved 5D Mark II. Canon says it will deliver better photos in the dark, more video options, and precision control over your shots. Will this be the new photographer’s workhorse? ”
