Joe McNally, legendary photographer and known for his use of light in his shots will tour Australia and New Zealand in May 2012. The month long tour will see Joe visiting Sydney, the Gold Coast and Melbourne.

The Through the Lens Tour program will include keynote talks, seminars and exclusive workshops with one-on-one time with Joe McNally. Hear Joe McNally’s inspirational journey from the story-teller himself. With over 30 years of photography experience in 60 countries, Joe will take the audience on a journey of his experiences speaking about his on-going, 23 year contribution to National Geographic and one of his most well-known series “Faces of Ground Zero — Giant Polaroid Collection”, which features portraits of the heroes of 9/11.

See a real-life photography demonstration from Joe McNally – watch as Joe sets up a live shot on stage, then takes you Through the Lens – instantly streaming pictures to a live viewing screen while offering top photography tips to the audience.  The photography demonstrations will include models to show how to use flash and light with Joe offering expert advice, tips and tricks in photography.

These exclusive workshops are the ultimate interactive photography experience at an outdoor location that will include setting up a photo shoot and taking pictures with personal coaching from Joe McNally.

Working in small groups of four attendees will go on-site to the location with Joe McNally and set-up a photo shoot, with Joe guiding each group personally. You will use advanced equipment and software so your pictures with be ‘tethered’ in real-time to digital media so you are able to personally view the shots you have taken with Joe’s critique.  See Joe McNally at work and get inside information on how he produces such unique and amazing pictures.
